How to delete an account and associated personal information.

Delete in the app
Sign in to Overlap, open Profile, and choose Delete account. Confirming deletes the authentication account and associated personal records. This action is permanent and signs the device out.
Request deletion without the app
Email admin@sodhera.com with the subject “Overlap account deletion request” from the address associated with your account. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, or identity documents unless the support team provides a secure and necessary verification process.
The operator may ask for limited information to verify account ownership. A final response deadline and support process must be established before public launch.
What deletion currently does

Deletes the Supabase authentication user and cascades deletion through the profile and associated personal records.

Transfers a shared circle or group-plan attribution to an active member when needed to avoid deleting other members’ shared records; otherwise it removes the orphaned record.

End-to-end removal of private storage objects, provider logs, and backups still needs production verification. Do not treat this draft as a promise that those systems have already been fully erased.

May retain narrowly required security, abuse, dispute, or legal records only when a final retention rule or law requires it. Those periods are not yet finalized.
Before deleting
Disable or replace shared event links if you want them revoked immediately. Account deletion cannot recall screenshots, messages already sent through another app, or content another person lawfully saved outside Overlap.
